It's quite sad when heard F&B at sg struggling and in the end they give up and close down.
Feature the dry version of the beef Kway Teow.The broth is light with minimal seasoning, the beef is good for hawker quality and the Kway Teow tossed in chilli and sesame oil.
Beside this I also try their fried Beef Kway Teow.

I love both the dry and soup Teochew-style beef noodles from Empress Place Teochew Beef Kway Teow, but do you know that they serve Fried Beef Kway Teow ($5) too? The thin kway teow is springy, the beef slices are tender, but what really sealed the deal for me is the intense wok hei and fragrance that permeate the noodles. Wished there could be more beef, but nonetheless, still a pretty good plate of fried beef kway teow👍🏻

Soup version of Empress Place’s Beef Kway Teow - the secret to his broth is by using the same exact broth “as a base” to build from. Everyday, he “feeds” it fresh beef bones and cooks the brisket and tripe in that same exact broth to allow the flavours to build up over the course of the day.

This is my first time trying Teochew-style beef noodles. The Dry Mixed Beef Kway Teow with Tendon ($6) from Empress Place Teochew Beef Kway Teow (#01-43) is tossed in chilli and sesame oil instead of the usual thick gravy - I find it fragrant and delicious! The beef slices, tripe and beef balls are tender, fresh and they go well with the chilli, though I felt that the chilli could do with a little more acidity. The tendons are very soft, almost like a jelly that melts in your mouth. The beef broth that is served at the side is sweet and rich. Good stuff👍🏻!


I told the boss he could decide what I ate. He decided dry, beef slices, medium. And he gifted me his last beef ball. Teochew is certainly different from Hainanese, which is slathered in a starchy dark brown sauce. Here the seasoning was minimal but still yummy. The beef at this price point was of good quality.
