Chef Joel's BBQ Pork. Probably one of the best char-grilled pork cheek I have ever eaten so far. Soft, yet still firm enough to retain the texture such that it has a nice chew to it, great char marks, and the achar as well as the sauce provided for the much-needed contrast to cut through the richness and savouriness of the meat. There's a sweetness to this that would remind you of bak kwa too. Chef Joel if you're seeing this, I hope you can share with me your recipe. Thanks.

Lovely setting and ambience- reminisce to the good old days w nice Zhi Char at affordable prices. Love how much effort is put into the unique design and architecture of the stall. Menu is also v detailed and elaborate - that of a chinese calendar.

Food was great and there was a great variety of local delicacies to choose from! Would highly recommend

I’m in love with these wings! Can’t wait to go back for more.

The nostalgic interior accompanied with its emphasise on local cuisines definitely reminded me of Singapore in it’s earlier days. We ordered the Asparagus with truffled oil, supreme seafood fried rice and bbq pork cheek which was absolutely delish. Food portion would be a little bit small but would recommend going for the larger options to share with friends. A great place to bring friends from overseas to invite over and experience.

Loving the aesthetic and the nostalgic elements of this restaurant’s decor. The food served here are your local favourite zichar food taken to culinary extremes. The Chef Joel’s BBQ Pork cheek was really juicy and goes really well with the Isaan-inspired sauce, one of my favourite dishes there. The Supreme Seafood Fried Rice is also highly recommended! Simple, yet delicious. Would definitely come back here again to try out the other dishes.

We ordered the Singapore style chilli prawns, hakka steamed tofu and chef joel's xo white fish soup. I would recommend the chilli prawns, particularly with the mantos, as the sauce was sweet yet slightly spicy. It was a very satisfying dish. The hakka steamed tofu was also not bad given that it was a lighter dish. However, I would pass on the xo white fish soup next time as I felt that it wasn't hot enough, making the soup's fishy taste slightly unbearable. Overall, I still enjoyed the food there and would be back if in the area.
