Hello Arigato seemed to be a fairly new offering along Upper Thomson Road yet it seemed really popular! Hence, we decided to give it a try for lunch on Sunday and we were pretty impressed by the extensive menu, which included sandos, pastas, coffees and teas as well as alcoholic beverages!

We wanted to try something more unusual and we decided to order the otah sando ($19++), which is basically an otah sandwich comprising a huge slab of otah served between two slices of white bread. The otah was really, really thick and we all wondered where they got the otah from! It was slightly spicy and tasted really rich; we were also surprised to find that the otah was breaded with the panko crumbs used to make tonkatsu, which gave the otah slabs a really nice crunch on the outside. Don't worry though, as the inside of the otah slab is really soft, just like those that you find outside.

The menu indicated that the sandwich includes Kaffir lime and mayonnaise, but these were overwhelmed by the rich flavour of the otah. ๐Ÿ˜… For those who are not fans of spicy food, the dish can get a little spicy as you move on to your second sandwich. Hence, it might be a good idea to share this item with someone else!

Hello Arigato was really crowded for lunch on Sunday and we nearly had to wait one hour for a table of two! Thankfully, there was a no-show so we managed to get a seat earlier-than-expected. That being said, you should make a reservation if possible!
