Served semi-frozen, the cream cheese filling within the rose flavoured roll cake had a texture resembling that of an ice cream instead, smooth and icy with a slight melt-in-the mouth texture. The rose flavoured sponge was soft and fluffy with a fragrant lingering floral aroma, subtle and not too overwhelming, perfuming up this sweet delight! 💕 Served with a smear of raspberry purée that added a characteristic tangy, sour note, this thick slice of Swiss roll with a well balanced of cream:sponge ratio would certainly serve as a pleasant and light afternoon treat, even better with a cup of hot coffee / tea by the side! ☕️.
