Not sure why but mapo tofu always attract me. Maybe because anime like cooking master boy and shokugeki present it like heaven and earth makes me fall in love with it.πŸ˜…
There is something unique about its taste that make me love this dish. The hotness, numbness, spiciness, fragrance, colour and crispness is a delicate art on its own. With many variations towards this dish, its kind of hard to find a great place to have one.
I would say this place had the basic but still can be improve. Soft silken tofu stir-fry with leek, bean sauce, chilli and peppercorn, etc.
Using the guide,
Hotness - Piping Hot.
Spiciness - Mild.
Fragrance - Subtle.
Colour - Authetic.
Numbness - Mild.
Crispness - Lack.
The taste is light and comfortable but not traditional enough. Seem like it adjusted to local taste here but anyway, it still a great tastisfying dish.
