The people dress better, the furnishings a little classier but Starbucks Reserve is no different than your local Starbucks down the road. My fondest memory of part-timing at the franchise was having Chic O' Cheese (RM9) as an employee meal but sadly, their new take on the pastry is a paltry version of the old. Gone is the cheesy, fat sausage enveloped in flaky puff pastry - it's now a chunky, thick pastry that wraps itself around a puny sausage. But that's a conversation for another day. What I liked best about this branch is that nearly all customers are here to work (or maybe pretending to work) while getting coffee, so you'll be paid no mind when you set up a workstation after getting one (and only one) drink. I suggest the Doubleshot Iced Shaken Espresso (from RM13), which I'm convinced is the only milk-based coffee here that doesn't taste like just milk.
