Love at first bite, their warabi mochi ($10/ 10 pieces) was simply toothsome. Bouncy, slight sticky, chewy but ultimately soft; each chunk was coated evenly in earthy matcha powder. Each box also came with fragrant kinako powder and gooey matcha sauce. The dark sauce was robust, none too sweet and just gave the jelly-like mochi an extra bittersweet oomph.
