Another delectable dish on the second stop of the inaugural Tasty Tastemaker Tour, the ayam bakar supports the theory that whatever meats Warong Nasi Pariaman get their hands on turns into flavor gold. The chicken was joyfully juicy, separated cleanly from the bone, and carried a sensually smoky flavor.

The sauce poured atop the piece of poultry took the ayam bakar into a new dimension of deliciousness and is the real MVP. Savory, silky smooth and lusciously lemak, the sauce is good enough to be guzzled down on its own. But when it's poured out upon the chicken...bagus!
