Be it rain or shine, walking on sunshine allows you to seek shelter and comfort in its tranquil, garden-like ambience. A Korean style cafe cum salon with Instagrammable OOTD spots and insta-worthy desserts such as:
Soufflé pancake [$20.50] - 3 fluffy, cotton-like pancakes served with vanilla cream, mixed nuts and mixed fruits, the kaleidoscopic aesthetics here is indeed a feast for the sight! 💯🤩 Though not the best soufflé pancakes I’ve had, I do enjoy its soft and fluffy texture which came with an eggy fragrance, along with the complement of smooth and mildly sweetened vanilla cream, fresh & juicy strawberries, grapes and blueberries, coupled with a pleasant crisp factor from the granola clusters and pumpkin seeds.
This whimsical cafe also serves a mixture of Western and Korean fusion cuisine & bar bites such as:
1️⃣ Kimchi Pancake [$10]
2️⃣Kimchi fries [$10]
My love for Kimchi can never get my eyes away from spotting it instantly on the menu! Had initially ordered the Kimchi pancake but due to a miscommunication, we got an extra portion of kimchi fries as well. Double kimchi = Double happiness ✌🏻. Flavourful, tangy with a aromatic tinge of subtle spice, the kimchi pancake is served with spicy mayo as a dipping sauce, which would have been better if the edges were more crisp with a less starchy interior. On the other hand, the kimchi fries comprises of shredded chicken breast, kimchi, spicy mayo, sour cream and chives atop a bed of crisp potato fries. Flavorful with a pleasant crunch factor from the tangy kimchi, the fries would have been better if they were more well seasoned with salt.
3️⃣Korean style fried chicken with Yangnyeom sauce [$23.50]
My favourite dish of the day which certainly brought back fond memories of my Korea exchange days. What’s missing is just a pint of beer for a complete Chi-maek experience! 🍗🍺 A half chicken portion (oh boy the portion is really really huge here ; although not obvious from the photo, hence do share or come with an empty stomach) where the fried chicken is deep fried to an ideal crisp perfection on its exterior batter, well marinated in Yangnyeom sauce that’s sweet and slightly spicy. Worth getting your hands messy and sticky for! 🤭 Also served with pickled carrots, cucumbers and radish that serves as a refreshing palate cleanser to the sinful but delectable meal.
4️⃣ Iberico Pork Jowl [$22.50]
Flavorful and tender pork jowl served with romaine lettuce, fermented cabbage, red and green chilli, along with pick mustard chilli cane with a pleasant umami note.
Lastly, do not forget to end off ur meal with some blossom tea or cleanse juices here such as:
➰Antoinette’s affair lychee [$9]: The characteristic fruity sweetness of lychee was distinct albeit subtle, which complements the aromatic blossom tea.
➰Orange cleanse 🍊 [$8]: Carrot, pineapple, orange and lemon juice - perfect way to detox and rejuvenate your soul with this citrus and Vitamin-packed cleansing juice!⚡️
