You can’t deny @tiongbahrubakery serves one of the best croissants in town. Offering the National Day bundle that includes one classic plain croissant, croissant with homemade kaya and bak kwa kouign-amann, it’s the best time to get your hands on their classic pastries with a twist of local flavours.

While the buttery aroma of the croissant was already inviting, watching and hearing the flaky pastry shatter upon the first cut was simply satisfying. The croissant that came with the homemade Kaya was nicely sliced. However, we felt that the Kaya was overwhelmingly eggy and personally, a little waxy for me. Their kouign-amann is one that I would always willingly trade my calories for. Fluffy and doughy interior, finished off with a caramelized glace. Except that there were bak kwa bits between the layers, which tasted like smoked bacon for this. A complexity of sweet and savoury.

Catch this sweet treat with the Gospree vouchers before the promotion ends on 31 Aug 2020. Whatsapp the respective outlets if you’d like to preorder. Service charge applies for dine-in.
