Brought to you by the folks at @cafecocosg (which has since closed at GTBB 🥲), @folksatrise is a cosy little café nestled in the Potong Pasir neighbourhood, located a few doors down from @kizunasg 🤗❤️❤️

While we had originally made our way down to 𝑲𝒊𝒛𝒖𝒏𝒂 for their lunch bowls on a regular weekday, we were met with waves of disappointment after we were informed that everything we had in mind was no longer on the menu/sold out etc after placing our orders at the counter. 🥲

On the bright side ☀️, this brought us to the pretty little café @folksatrise which had also been on my wishlist for the longest time! 😍 Being a small neighbourhood café with less than 10 tables, be prepared to wait for seats even on weekdays even though a time limit is stated on the menu.

Spoilt for choice with all the gorgeous tea cakes 🧁🌼 and very tempting 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 reminiscent of Korean cafés, I decided to indulge in their freshly made 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 ($7.90) and topped it up with a scoop of 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙠 & 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙂𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤 🥛🍯 and 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙑𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙂𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤. YASSSSS waffles for lunch, just because I can! 😝🧇❤️🧇

The 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 were absolutely amazing, light and airy with a crispy outer layer just as I love my waffles to be. 😋❤️ Honestly, the maple syrup isn't even required cos they taste so good on their own! 🧇❤️❤️ The gelato, however, was just okayyyyy IMO... I'll probably save those calories for their cakes or 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 instead! 🤭
