Finally gave Sushiro at Tiong Bahru Plaza a try since they're having a promotional event now with a food hunt pack where you can get $20 worth of coupons for F&B places for just $15. You essentially get 2x$5 dine-in vouchers, 2x$2.50 take-out vouchers and a $5 bonus voucher for new F&B places in Tiong Bahru Plaza, which includes Sushiro and quite a few other places. You also get a free collapsible coffee cup if you purchase 2 food hunt packs and you're an AMperkz member, so you can be more environmentally friendly.

Was very excited to try Sushiro as they're a Kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi chain from Japan that's just opened their first outlet in Singapore. I liked how they had both a conveyor belt with lots of sushi options on it and also a train that delivers the sushi when you deliver from an iPad, so you don't need to feel stressed that the conveyor belt may not have the sushi you want haha. Also, the quality of the sushi was pretty impressive considering the price.

The sushi is priced according to the colour of the plates, with the red plate costing $2.20, gold plate costing $3.20 and black plate costing $4.80. Some of the highlights were: the scallop sushi (massive scallops that were super thick), the big red shrimp sushi (huge raw butterflied prawn that was so sweet and creamy), the triple salmon plate (with regular salmon, salmon belly, and aburi salmon belly, perfect for a salmon lover), and lastly, the sushi with basil cheese on top, which was quite interesting because it tasted like pesto and was quite fragrant.

It was a great experience and I'll probably come again! They also have a loyalty card so you can get free stuff with every third visit. If you wanna try Sushiro out too, don't miss out on Tiong Bahru Plaza's food hunt pack, which is for sale until 6 Oct. Thanks @burpple for sending me on this fun food hunt! Didn't realise that Tiong Bahru plaza actually has quite a few new food places and it's pretty convenient because it's connected to Tiong Bahru mrt.
