By far one of my favourite pastry at the newly revamped @matchayasg 😊Quite a fair bit of cream involved, which i guess is needed in order for the purple sweet potato taste to be more prominent due to the natural subtlety of its taste. Makes this a heavier dessert to have, hence recommended to share, though i gladly polished it off myself 🙂 .

Because of the sweetness from the cream, I'm glad that the tart pastry itself isn't the very sweet kind. Thought for a moment that the yellowish paste was made of yellow sweet potato but its actually almond cream haha😅

Overall the sweet potato flavour was quite distinct for me, though i feel that perhaps they could go easier on the use of almond cream which was a rather thick layer and the taste was quite strong
