As part of The Deli’s festive offerings, the public can order these sweet takeaways from 1 to 26 December (with advance orders of five days required) such as the Whimsical Fairy Cake ($65 for 1kg), Crystal Glacier Log Cake ($82 for 1kg), Merry Cubes ($88) and Salted Caramel Brownie Bar ($38 for 500g). The latter is one of the desserts that to me, was the star of the lineup as the chocolate brownie is covered with milk chocolate and hazelnut bits, while topped with salted caramel. The balance of flavours will ensure that you do not feel surfeited after taking a few bites, which is very common in other desserts. Other traditional yuletide treats are also available such as the traditional Christmas chocolate log cake and fruit cake.

The two that stood out the most have got to be the Goodwood Park’s signature durian puff pastry that’s made from D24 durian flesh and the Goodwood Mao Shan Wang Durian Christmas Log Cake ($78 for 500g) that’s back by popular demand. To up the ante further, fresh Mao Shan Wang durian plup is folded within the vanilla sponge to create this decadent treat.
