I know this cafeteria specialises in soba noodles, but my friend and I found the rice meal offer on FAVE more value-for-money so we got ourselves the Avocado Pepper Duck ($14) and Kaisendon ($15) instead. Compared to other Japanese rice bowls at the same price, I must say that they're really generous with the toppings which are of a good quality too. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy, the pepper duck was tender and packed with umami, and the raw fish cubes were fresh. Unfortunately, the rice was a little dry due to a lack of sauce and they could definitely do with more vinegar.
