Two Hana has apparently revamped their lunch set menu - most of the mains offered previously remain unchanged, but you get a choice of sides and drinks now, whereas previously it was only a default side of cauliflower fritters. Choices of sides include soup of the day, garden salad with sesame dressing, and tater tots. I always love their chicken bulgogi bap so I went with that and the salad plus cold honey citrus drink.

The chicken bulgogi bap is just as good as I remembered, not sure what they cook the rice with but it’s so yummy I can eat it on its own. The sautéed spinach, onions and beansprouts are yummy on their own but also complement the rice. Not a big fan of the kimchi in this bulgogi bap, but it’s decent. The chicken bulgogi is tender and sweet - might actually be nicer if it was spicy too but that’s a small concern. And of course everything is made better by an onsen egg! 😍 Despite all the love for the chicken bulgogi bap, what I love most is that Two Hana has made the switch from disposable plates, cups and utensils to reusable ones! Good on them for being more environmentally friendly!!! Makes me wanna support Two Hana even more.

The salad veg is fresh and features a variety of veg plus tomatoes. Its also interesting that they include the beansprouts that they use in the rice bowls too, I think it’s stir fried in some mildly spicy sauce but I’m not sure. Was originally disappointed that cauliflower fritters were no longer on the set menu (they are still on the regular menu though), but I’m so satisfied with the salad addition I really don’t mind anymore!

The honey citrus drink tastes just like the ones made from the Korean honey citrus preserves in jars sold in supermarkets so you can’t go wrong with that. It’s quite a small cup of it especially after ice is added, but it’s not too sweet nor too diluted.

Overall a very affordable set lunch, would definitely buy it again whenever I drop by Tampines!
