As the name @scrambledsg suggests, this newly opened shop at Icon Village is known for their scrambled eggs, serving a variety of scrambled egg burger buns as well as scrambled egg in a box, along with your choice of side/protein. Spoilt for choice but I decided to go ahead with the spam&eggs (after all, this combi never fails to go wrong). Sandwiched between the soft and fluffy brioche buns (from @burntends_sg) lies two thick slices of spam with melted cheddar atop a pile of scrambled egg and a spread of curry ketchup sauce. The curry ketchup resembled more of a tangy, creamy aioli sauce instead, without any hint of spiciness but was certainly a great companion to the fluffy brioche. The main highlight here has got to be the scrambled eggs, which surpassed expectations indeed, possessing a creamy, curd-like texture that’s sufficiently moist, along with a lingering buttery fragrance. If you are the kind who fancies the creamy kind of scrambled eggs instead of the fluffy, blanket-alike sheet, this would be the ideal one to go for!✨ In fact, this has got to be the top few on my list of scrambled eggs in Singapore’s cafe! 👍🏻 The slices of spam also contributed to a pleasant savoury flavour profile with a lingering tinge of saltiness, coupled with the layer of slightly melted cheddar that added a tangy piquant note! Though this might seem simple and easily replicated at your own home kitchen, the scrambled eggs here are still the winning factor that may pose a great challenge in achieving the exact same texture and flavour, given also the fact that that the chefs behind these scrambled creations are once from Michelin Star restaurants! ⭐️ My first visit here and definitely not the last, given its prime location and accessibility (for me 🤭) , my mad love for scrambled eggs as well as the quality of food! 😋 . Pricing wise, though it isn’t considered pocket-friendly enough for me to consume on a frequent basis, I certainly do not mind forking out more for a greater satisfaction to my palate! 😋
