The first time mum "tabao" this back for me, I told her never to buy from this stall again - way too fishy! And now it turns out, this has become one of my favourite go-to stalls at this market. I like my fish soup with thin bee boon or yi-mian, milk, thinly sliced bitter gourd.. and hearty scoops of chopped spring onion and chilli padi right on top (not even pre-soaked in soya sauce). Yumms. Just skip the fried fish skin topping, and that takes away the not-so-pleasant fishy smell 🐟🐟🐟
