Taking over from Woodlands Sourdough, Micro similarly boasts of its bread that’s baked in-house daily. The nut butter toast ($6) was rich but not overtly sweet, complementing the slight acidity of the sourdough well. There was honey drizzled over with some chopped nuts, but I missed the sprinkle of sea salt that was present in its predecessor’s - it would have helped to break through the richness of the butter. The toast set ($5) was a bit of a let down as I was expecting more to it (perhaps a variety? Two slices of plain sourdough seemed a bit steep for its price), but it allowed for the sourdough to shine through. Chewy and crusty, it was accompanied by unsalted butter, salt flakes and black pepper. The flat white ($5) had full flavour that I enjoyed!
