The soup is sweet as you can see from the goji overload. I think there's also herbs like gan cao and maybe dang gui. I can taste the fermented bean curd in the mutton, totally no gamy taste at all! I also love the black fungus mushrooms and tau pok that soaks up all the flavour of the soup but also adds flavour to the soup as well. At $9 it's painful for my wallet but I feel it's worth it, it's the best hainanese #herbal #mutton #soup I had so far (personal favourite). Oh that chilli is good too, spicy enough.
