An excellent way to start your buffet journey is to aim for the Tiger Cry Beef Salad, tender grilled beef that’s mixed in with a dressing of mint, coriander and Thai basil, as it will surely awaken your tastebuds, open up your palate and give you a spicy adrenaline. On the ala carte buffet menu, there are several noteworthy dishes such as the Cha-Om Fried Egg which is one of my favourites as the acacia leaves omelette is a wonderful finger food to snack on accompanied by the Nam Prik Kapi – a shrimp paste dip with a bit of tanginess from the lime juice and heat from the red chillis. The classics of any Issan Thai food include the Thai Basil Chicken Kaprao, Crispy Lemongrass Seabass and Wok-Fried Morning Glory are also made to order. There’s also the Deep-fried Prawns with Yellow Curry Sauce that is calling out for a bowl of rice to go with it as the rich and creamy yellow curry latches onto the prawns so well that you will want to eat off the entire shell. If there is still space in your tummy, do consider the Khao-Kluk Kapi or Phad Kee Mao Chicken, the former is a fried rice served with an assortment of ingredients while the latter is a stir-fried rice noodles sheets with chicken and vegetables. No meal is complete before having some sweets and for this Thai Signatures Buffet, the restaurant will be offering mango sticky rice and a ice-kachang station for you to shave up some ice.
