Being one of the famous hawker centres where good food are gathered, I guess Chomp Chomp needs no further introduction! ๐ Thankful that it is pretty near my house too so I can conveniently pop by for a feast! โ๐ป Hereโs what my friends & I enjoyed:
.
๐น๏ธSatay ($22 for 30 sticks + kueh tupat)
๐น๏ธBBQ Chicken Wings & 3 Otah (wings at $1.40 each, otah at $2.50 each)
๐น๏ธHokkien Mee ($5)
๐น๏ธCarrot Cake ($5)
๐น๏ธOyster Omelette ($8)
๐น๏ธChar Kway Teow ($4)
๐น๏ธSambal Stingray ($20)
๐น๏ธSambal Lala (clams) ($15)
๐น๏ธSambal Kang Kong ($6)
๐น๏ธSambal Sotong (squid) ($12)
๐น๏ธSugar Cane Tower ($10)
.
Ah Hock Fried Hokkien Mee that warranted a 30mins wait certainly did not disappoint - so moist & flavourful! ๐๐๐ Enjoyed the oyster omelette & carrot cake too - canโt go wrong with plump juicy oysters & eggy plate of goodness! ๐ฏ
.
For BBQ Seafood, go to ๅฟ ๅฟ ๆตทๅณๅญ Hai Wei Yuan BBQ - their sambal chilli is super fragrant & has a nice spicy kick ๐ถ that goes well with any seafood! ๐๐ฆ We tried from their competitor beside too (ๅฟ ้ฆ ็ฆ็ง็คๆตท้ฒ) but I found their chilli to be lacklustre. ๐
.
Chong Pang Chicken Wings were really good - well-marinated & grilled to the perfect brown, with an irresistible smoky aroma. ๐คค๐คค๐คค However, please give their otah a miss - it was essentially flour with mild flavours. ๐
