Hou Yea Street Kitchen (B1-01) just opened on Monday in the basement of Golden Mile Food Center serving up a pretty good/unique rendition of nasi lemak!

They had to prepare a fresh batch of chicken when I made my order, so I got one that was piping hot. Crispy and a generous portion (thigh & drumstick? Yes please!), it was tasty with a slight sourish taste to the batter but the meat wasn't the most tender. What I really loved was the refreshing achar, fish otah with a strong fragrance of kaffir and that peanut & ikan combo that was really toasty and just dam good. I will say their rice and chilli could amp up a bit on the shiok factor though, as the items that binds the whole plate together felt a bit weak but still definitely an enjoyable plate! 😛
