It’s definitely worth to rice and shine and go early to queue and eat at Tendon Kohaku! Not only are the ingredients amazing, the RICE itself is fantastic. My favourite is their special 16 multigrain rice, which has different varieties of rice sourced from all over Japan, including Nanatsuboshi white rice from Hokkaido, amaranthus and red sorghum from Akita, green skin brown rice from Saga, glutinous barley from Ehime and polished barley from Fukuoka. Paired with the spicy sauce, I could simply eat the rice on its own.
