$12 is a special & cheaper price with Burp’s affordable takeaway/delivery menu during the Covid-19 Heightened Alert. The usual price as indicated in their menu is $16.

I have always wanted to try Burp and it really took me a pandemic to finally get a taste of their food. With their special takeaway menu, their food becomes doubly affordable on top of their extremely wallet-friendly delivery prices. You would only have to hit a $30 minimum fee for delivery (which can be easily fulfilled with a meal for 2).

Their smoked salmon carbonara is definitely no authentic Italian carbonara. Rather, it may be described as the typical ‘Singaporean’ carbonara you grew up eating as a kid, thinking it is some form of cream based pasta. Then again, managing expectations, this is exactly the kind of carbonara one is likely to get in Singapore when not in an Italian restaurant.
Nonetheless, this ‘carbonara’ was a well-textured, smooth pasta that packs a really creamy punch - for the creamy pasta lovers. I enjoyed it because it was not only flavourful, the amounts of bacon and smoked salmon was extremely generous. In fact, I think the portion is very worth the buck. The creaminess thus fused well with the saltiness of both bacon and smoked salmon, which really reduced the propensity for one to get sick of the dish fast. In addition, the gravy-like cream surrounding which doused the pasta ensured an experience of slurpy goodness. For $12 and free delivery, this was worth it!
