Prepare to queue during lunch/dinner time!
Didn’t took us long to get a table bc it has passed lunch time, but the food, LITERALLY TAKES SO VERY LONG TO COME OMG.
The wait was worth it though! Their 🍜MUN KIAW MIEN is definitely a must try! Very good semi-dry wok fried noodles, with shrimps, pork meat, some veggies, mushrooms, and DAMN DELICIOUS FRIED WONTON!!! No wonder they’re so proud of this dish, they would recommend you to try them when ordering!
Another amazing dish was GURAME TAHU TAUSI🐟 (Fried Garoupa with Black Bean Sauce). SOOOOO GOOD, my favorite Ikan Tahu Tausi so far! The gravy just soooo nice with the black beans, the tofu silky smooth, the fish fried nicely, ngga amis 👌🏻 MUST TRYYYYY
Bistik Sapi aka beef with saus mentega (Beef with Butter sauce) was nice and more to the salty saus mentega type.
Sweet and sour pork (Babi Kulunyuk) had nice flavors too. The Garlic Po Cai aka my fav veggie was good but I’s prefer it to be less oily.
OVERALL— a unique dining experience indeed, as Wong Fu Kie is one of the oldest traditional Chinese restaurants in Jakarta. Frequent diners (my mom’s friends) say that food always take VERY LONG to come but diners can’t really complain to the owner 😂. Well at least what you’re waiting for will be worth it!

Btw the way to this restaurant might be confusing because it is located literally hidden inside alleys and only some people might know, I suggest finding directions in google when planning a visit.
