Really impressive gyoza here. Some of the best I've had, likely one of the best in KL. Just a step below gyoza king in Singapore, which has better bite and resistance to the skin. And more substantial innards. And amazing sides. But anyway that comparison aside these are pretty damn good gyoza. 5.5/5.5 for the ambience and a good 6/8 for the food, on the aunty scale. By comparison, it ranks a lot higher than places such as the Kenny Roger's branch at TBS and the eggu sando at Family Mart Sri Petaling but then again rating and comparing food is always a finicky business. Which isn't to say 'aiya it's subjective la people got different taste' which by God, is such a cop out, especially when there are objective measures to discuss subjective traits etc etc, but rather to say that even keeping track of an internal rating system is hard enough. Unless you revise ratings each time you try a new item, and go multiple times to verify the consistency and judge how your feeling about it changes. And all that boring stuff.

Point is: may you stay open forever, Menya Hanabi. We all know quality food never stays that way permanently in KL so come and try it while it's still great. Try the mazesoba stuff first la cos that's their signature and it's super rare anyway, don't think you'll find another spot with it in KL, or at least not quite at this level. And make sure you add rice afterwards to the leftover sauce because I do believe this spot had some of my favourite rice in town. Places like Uokatsu talk a lot about their rice game but this place right here? I'll rice it up any day fam. .
