When I first heard of the price, I was floored. $12 for nasi lemak?! But boy, was it worth it.

We were offered the choice of chicken breast or thigh, and I chose the former. The portions were huge. The cucumbers were refreshing, the rice was fragrant and “lemak”, the sambal was slightly sweet (but packed a punch!) and the egg yolk was perfectly runny. Along with these amazing sides came the star of the dish, the chicken — and it was tender, oily and savory.

It’s one of those dishes where I could only tell you to try it to believe it.
