Look no further than Artichoke as they have a special weekend brunch menu that is not the norm as opposed to those hipster cafés. Think heartier and honest food that’s cooked with passion, spiced with flavours and nothing of the ordinary eggs benedict, waffles and pancakes.

An outstanding dish that is meatless (yes you see it right) and suitable for vegetables is the Cauliflower Kushari ($24), a bowl made up of deep fried cauliflower, Egyptian jeweled rice, herbs and vegetables tossed in shallot oil and seasoned with salt and amba (a mango chutney). Taking influences from other cultures, a marinated Japanese ramen egg is added into the mix to give it a creamier mouthful texture. Other notable mentions include the Chicken Urfa Kebab ($28) and Crispy Lamb Floss ($28), both created to satisfy the weekend cravings.
