I have been seeing Pastaria Abate cooking up this dish countless times on their instagram although I do not see it on their menu. After inquiring, I realised that they have specials for the day and this dish is featured on some days. Fortunately, I can safely say that Pastaria Abate has been meeting my expectations time and time again. This dish is a pasta dish that is cooked with their red sauce (a 12-hour or 24-hour simmered tomato stew, I can't rememberโ€” as long as it is delicious enough) with a combination of garlic and chilli. They use chilli padi which really gives that spicy kick โ€” and i adored it! Apparently, it originated from Calabria, the land of the "hotheads". A good amount of baby prawns in this dish, although I would like to try a rendition with slightly bigger prawns for that juiciness. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this special for the sauce was really bursting with a medley of spicy, garlicy and sweet flavours.
