Localised to suit our palate, In the Brickyard’s repertoire of ‘Siew Dai’ slices were really good and got the stamp of approval from my picky parents unsurprisingly.

Procuring these cakes were not easy (camping on their site for 2 days) but certainly worthwhile, seeing that we inhaled it all in mere seconds. Delicate and subtly nutty, the Sesame Yuzu Sliced Cake ($7.50) is just the thing if you are looking for a light bite. The hint of earthiness from the sponge and the buttercream coupled well with the contrasting yuzu curd that tasted bright and zingy.
