We are always impressed by the ever-changing assortment of flavours at Butterknife Folk and today, we decided to try out the Freckles & Speckles flavour! Freckles & Speckles is basically a scoop of blue pea flower ice cream, dotted with bits of chocolate chips! Presumably, the speckles are the smaller chips while the freckles are the larger ones!

As blue pea flower itself doesn't have much taste, the gelato base just tastes milky with most of the flavour coming from the chocolate chips. The chips are rather bitter as dark chocolate is used. Nonetheless, it was still a very enjoyable flavour and we look forward to the other creative concoctions at Butterknife Folk!
