Bad photo but this was a very comforting hot pot with black cod, udon, vegetables and lots of mushrooms. Was surprised by the amount of ingredients the pot had! The black cod didn’t come as a full piece, but we still enjoyed how fresh and firmly textured it was. Udon was chewy! Each order of a nabe will also be served with a bowl of small white rice and a saucer of aged spicy miso that can be added in your soup. The miso base on its own was already well seasoned and sweet from the vegetables, but the aged spicy miso was a good touch. It’s not too spicy but added an extra appetising hint of heat and sweet-savouriness.
