I understand that the creation of Singapore's black pepper crab is actually attributed to Long Beach Seafood Restaurant in 1959. Wow. That's more than 50 years! Black pepper crab is now one of the most popular ways of eating crab in Singapore! It doesn't really come with a lot of sauce like the chilli crab. The crab is coated with a layer of fragrant and delicious black pepper sauce. It complement the fresh and succulent flesh so well. Importantly, it doesn't overpower the natural flavours of the crab meat.
