I suspect the free flow of cabbage soup and achar(pickled vegetables) is one of the main draws at this venerable institution in Katong Shopping Center, because the chicken rice is nothing to shout home about. I seem to recall a time when the standard was higher, but my most recent visit yielded slightly tough chicken and rice that could have been more flavourful.
