I have been meaning to check out @pistachiogrill for the longest time ever. Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine is a woefully under-represented cuisine (and remains so) in Singapore but it has gained in popularity in recent years.

Chef Khaled Elelimi has been in Singapore for quite some time and his food has been tweaked to suit our local palates.

We loved his garlic cheese pita bread ($10) which is in essence a combination of pide and pita. It is crisp on the outside and fluffy on the outside, and the best of all, it has two of Miss K's favourite ingredients, cheese and garlic. She could probably have this everyday.

We loved dipping the pita bread in baba gannoush, a dip made of smoked eggplant with tahini and extra virgin olive oil. The dip is silky and luxuriously creamy. Pistachio tops their baba gannoush with a dash of lemon and pomegranate which serves to accentuate the smokey and earthy undertone of the roasted eggplant.

Let's just say this is making me regret (even more) not choosing Pistachio for my office lunch!
