There is a cluster of tzi char stall at the Smith Street Hawker Centre which specialises in steamed fish head.

Seng Kee is the most famous and purportedly the one which started it all. For $13, you get a two person portion or half a fish head in their "hot sauce". The song fish at Seng Kee was fresh and tender and we loved their "hot sauce" which was savoury, sour, garlicky and sweet - anything but spicy as one may think.

Prices are really affordable here and the food is served really fast. A great alternative if the Claypot rice stall is closed!
