At least it started out relatively simple... as a cabbage and pork chop combo, topped with the obligatory deep-fried runny egg and cheerfully doused with both curry and dark soy sauce gravy. That was before the floured prawns winked at me and I invited them to the party too. Then I felt it wouldn't be friendly if I left out the sambal sotong. "Seafood is brain food" I've been told. And if you don't believe that dietary tip which has served me well then mebbe I would just admit that I needed to know if the squiddies were as chewy as they looked. Yes, it was all in the name of science then. ... Yeah, i just had to know.
