Bruno's is one of those unassumingly charming neighbourhood eateries that's been around for years and mostly frequented by locals who value the convenience of seriously decent grub right at their doorstep.

With a focus on Italian food, their portions are generous, and my pasta came with four large pan-seared scallops. As it is, they were slightly pale, chewy and would have benefitted from just a minute or two more in the pan for that much desired caramelization. What I really enjoyed was the al-dente linguine in a mellow pink sauce(tomato and cream) perfumed with garlic, onion, basil, soft cherry tomato and sun-dried tomato.

Bruno's original outlet at Tanjong Katong has a more formal restaurant-like setting and is also worth checking out.
