Dumpling Darlings dishes out QQ noodles with unusual dumplings and drink lunch sets for an affordable $16++ (even better with Burpple Beyond yo). Opted for the miso mushroom noodles + fried pierogi + longan osmanthus pu-erh. The miso mushroom noodles taste like the atas version of noodles you’d find at a coffeeshop, with a massive heap of fried onions and spring onions with every bite. Enjoyed the noodles’ springiness, but the rest really depends on how much you like the toppings. Fried pierogi stole the show with the savoury goodness of smooth truffle potato and bacon, while the drink grew on me with each sip. Saw them smashing up an actual piece of osmanthus jelly during drink prep!

* Come before 11.45am latest to snag a seat before the queue gets crazy. Was a cosy place despite the crowd and chatter.
* Tried my friend’s Sichuan dumpling and found it underwhelming. The sauce looked like chilli vinaigrette but was sweet, and drowned the taste of the meat.
