From Deja Brew Cafe, a newly-opened cafe that serves up local delights from the various Chinese dialect groups in Singapore — pretty apt for a cafe that is situated in the building that it is in.

Went for the Hakka Salt Baked Chicken which felt less salty as compared to other variants that I have tried — they don't seem to be particularly heavy-handed with the salt here, though I would have actually preferred the chicken to have come a little saltier. The flesh was actually considerably tender, though the rice felt a little undercooked and stiff especially in a specific area of the mound that was served on the plate. Strangely, the soup was actually rather flavourful; possibly even more so that the chicken itself — not particularly salty, though definitely a bit heavier on the palate than usual.
