A very belated post to cont. the family’s post CB dining trail- happy to report that I’ve actually tried all the restaurant places on burpplebeyond at Jewel?

Perch was definitely my next favourite besides Tonito. Firstly free corkage when we patronise the neighbour 1855 alcohol retailers; I love dinners with nice drinks as with many Singaporeans whom take respite/ temporal refuge (?) in them 😬

Next food was good and value for money with burpplebeyond. I enjoyed the Thai Red Curry that these pink-hued smoked duck breast slices were dressed in; because the pool of sauce was great we mopped it up effortlessly. While I would have preferred softer meat, this was a good attempt to make tough duck breast tender and not dry. For our pasta, we enjoyed it but might not order it again so that we can venture into trying other mains offered at Perch.

We had a side of fried cauliflower which was excellent that we wanted to recreate at home, think not cloggy fried cauliflowers chunks with a charred crisp exterior and melted cheese atop. But we’d suggest skipping the sautéed spinach which reminded me of upscale zichar.
