How old school is that?! 😍 // I was searching for 姜母鸭 after having delicious ones in China. And it turns out that rather than being a lone dish served in a Claypot, the Taiwanese enjoy it as a steamboat! Apparently, every table has a pot of whole duck + ginger broth in the middle that costs NT290 and we could top it up fried garlic meesua (SO BOMB), vegetables, frozen tofu, duck meatballs & innards for about NT50 each. They are best enjoyed with bottled Plum juice that my Dad is obsessed with. Oh, and the fun thing about the steamboat is the atmosphere - all of us are seated on low stools with Korean and Chinese songs blasting in the background. What a great time to show of my dancing skills eh~ 😎👯 Totally blended in with the locals who frequent this place - predominantly young and working adults who eat, drink & chat their hours away. In fact, we were the earliest to leave despite arriving later than them 😆
I highly recommend this restaurant if you don't mind ginger, 🐤 and would like to have an affordable, fuss-free traditional steamboat that is less touristy!
