Haven't eaten here for so long so decided to go and try it out. We ordered the butter crab and the waitress did a double take to verify if we really wanted butter and not chilli or black pepper. She explained that butter crab is dry and there's not much of a gravy or sauce. I know I've been playing tourist the past week but do I no longer appear local? 😂 Anyway yeah we confirmed our order.

What I like about butter crab is the buttery batter that is used to fry the crab. Yes it's 'dry' and yes there are times when I want to dip my mantou in the chili crab or black pepper sauce but I do take crab cooked in butter sometimes.

We also had the roasted chicken which is another personal favourite. I like it especially if the skin is dark red and crispy like Peking duck 😋 This was not too bad. The chicken meat retained some juices even as the skin was roasted to crisp. I like the whole ambience of this area. It's like you're in another world. Less harried and more balmy
