Quite excited to find an Anson Towm branch around Woodlands, so I had to give it a try. Had this previously at their Balestier branch and was pretty impressed. The one from Woodlands comes pretty close but unlike the one I previously had which was made fresh upon order, the Woodlands branch seemed to have prepared them in advance; the staff only slices, brush them with oil and then sprinkles sesame on the spot. While the Chee Cheong Fun is pretty much still as springy and savoury with all the preserved turnip giving a savoury bite, I would have still preferred it to come warm. That being said, it is probably a blessing that I could have a taste of this without traveling out of Woodlands.
