According to my friend, the fact that I got a bowl of this for dinner without queueing is a very amazing coincidence so yay for that!

Anyway, I had the small ($8) bowl and it was pretty good! The noodles were springy, the noodle prawn was like fried wonton, the wonton has very generous and tasting filling, the char siew was tender, and the onsen egg was amazing!

The soup was pretty nice too - peppery and tasty.

The only thing is, I don’t really see the resemblance to ramen (apart from the Onsen egg). The noodles taste like wonton/fishball noodles, not like ramen (or even fried ramen). I would say that it’s a fairly original and definitely delicious noodle dish, but I wouldn’t think of ramen if I hadn’t read about it beforehand.
