1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond!

Located within the dining food court of Don Don Donki at Jem, Ajifuku specialises in Tendons of a wide variety. We chose the Ebi Ten Katsu Don that comes with a bowl of miso soup, fried chicken skin and soft drink. Sadly, we were only given Dasani mineral water on that day.

Sitting atop a bed of fluffy Japanese rice were 3 tempura prawns and several chunks of breaded chicken Katsu. While the prawns were pretty juicy, the chicken chunks were a tad too dry. Fortunately the sweet-savoury dashi sauce drizzled over made it more palatable. The half-cooked egg also reminded me of an oyako don rather than the usual tendon. The freshly fried chicken skin made a fragrant and delicious appetizer with the accompanying wasabi mayonnaise. Will be back to try the remaining tendons!
