As for the ice cream, @discoverthedark is well known for their varying chocolate flavours of different brands and % of cocoa. Having tried their signature 80% dark chocolate (which was really good and perfect for hardcore chocoholics),I decided to opt for another chocolate variation and chose 75% Single origin Tanzania, along with seasalt butterscotch. The ice cream were smooth, thick and creamy with the 75% Tanzania bearing a lingering fruity aftertaste amidst the robust, bittersweet cocoa flavour. On the other hand, the seasalt butterscotch had a subtle tinge of caramelised sweetness with a mild lingering salty aftertaste which could have been more distinct. A wide variety of toppings are available as well, ranging from caramelised almonds, chocolate granola (my pick!), dark chocolate shavings as well as sauces eg. salted caramel. On the downside, the characteristic nutty flavour of hazelnut was pretty mild in the waffle batter and perhaps overshadowed by the dark chocolate. Would have been great if the exterior was more crisp too! [PS: This dark chocolate hazelnut waffle flavour might only be available for a limited time! ]
