From Chunky Lobster’s newest outpost at The Cathay (the original branch being situated at Oxley Towers), taking over the former premises of Kori King and sharing its space with SaladStop — the main tenant still being SaladStop with only three tables (one 4-seater, two 2-seaters) allocated for Chunky Lobsters customers for dine-in orders. The Connecticut Lobster Roll sees the lobster being served cold, along with melted butter and a toasted bread roll. The roll was soft and fluffy, while the lobster flesh was fresh with no hint of fishiness/odour and chunky, giving a substantial bite though could carry more crustacean sweetness. The butter provides a savouriness that binds the roll and the lobster together. All orders come with tapioca chips as a side — overall a value-for-money deal at $16, with quality still being upheld at the low price tag it commands for; staying true to Chunky Lobsters’ tagline of “seafood made affordable”!
