We love our mala soup, but these noodles I tried last evening is unlike any other Sichuan broth I've tasted.

It wasn't extremely spicy (drinkable!), and it was deep in flavour from the various spices used, including Sichuan peppers, pickled chillies, dried chillies and other herbs and spices which was fried till fragrant. What's unique about Chuan Hung is that these noodles were specially sourced from one particular artisan who lives in a village deep in Sichuan. 🔸
The noodles may be ordered with the clear soups as well as the uniquely Sichuan mix of red and clear. Chuan Hung also offers a third broth option which is in fact my favourite - a clear soup that is piquantly infused with Sichuan vine pepper.

I would love to be back, in fact many times, for lunch here at CBD. It's affordable, yet really good.
